William Jacoby
Vice Chair and Board Member
William Jacoby is a founding member of both the Truth Action Project and the Lawyers’ Committee for 9/11 Inquiry. Previously, he was a volunteer coordinator of local action teams for Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth. Now retired, Bill’s work life included professional and managerial experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. His public sector experience was in municipal government as an attorney specializing in community development and as a senior manager in the New York State Department of Social Services.
His nonprofit experience was in human services research, planning, and evaluation; housing and community development program administration at the senior and executive levels; and international economic and community development in Latin America. In the private sector, Bill helped secure public and private investment for, and held executive positions with, two renewable energy companies.
Bill’s early activism experience was in the civil rights movement and in the Peace Corps in Peru. Bill has a BA in Government from Dartmouth, an M.P.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, and a J.D. from Duquesne Law School. He was admitted to the New York and Pennsylvania Bars.
