Medical Freedom and Natural Health

Ensuring That Everyone has Access to the Resources, Services, Treatments, and Products Essential for Their own Health

Natural Health vs. Allopathic Medicine:
Which is Right for You?

What Is the Definition of Natural Health?

Natural health is a whole-lifestyle approach to overall wellness that addresses every component of life: how you eat, how you take care of your body, how you deal with stress, and which healthcare providers you entrust with your care. By looking at body, mind, and lifestyle, natural health is holistic.

People following a natural health approach try to identify the root cause of symptoms so they can solve their health concerns, restore balance and optimize health. Eliminating unhealthy habits, performing detoxifying cleanses, and choosing positive, life- and health-affirming choices helps restore the body’s natural vitality. The natural approach offers greater personal power over your health.

“Health Freedom:  What Is It and Why Is It Important?”

Health freedom is a concept based on the belief that medicine, as it is practiced in the United States, is a narrowly defined modality and that individuals have the right to seek other forms of health care that may not fall within the definitions and scope of conventional medicine.

In 1847, the American Medical Association was formed and signaled the beginning of a more regulated and formal oversight of the practice of medicine. The article, Doctor of medicine profession (MD)“, from the National Institutes of Health website, states that:

Medicine was the first of the professions to require licensing. State laws on medical licensing outlined the “diagnosis” and “treatment” of human conditions in medicine. Any individual who wanted to diagnose or treat as part of the profession could be charged with practicing medicine without a license.

As state laws were established, other healing professions such as naturopathy, homeopathy, and herbalism came under increased scrutiny, and, in some cases, were shut down for practicing medicine without a license, which had become the common purview of those licensed as medical doctors.

What is the Definition of Allopathic Medicine

A system in which medical doctors and other healthcare professionals (such as nurses, pharmacists, and therapists) treat symptoms and diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery. Also called biomedicine, conventional medicine, mainstream medicine, orthodox medicine, and Western medicine. – Source: National Cancer Institute

It’s frightening what is happening in America, from statistics of medical errors to “medical kidnapping” by the state to our right to bodily autonomy and our own personal health choices.  It seems as if we find ourselves in a “sick care” system instead of a healthcare system. Study after study shows us some terrifying numbers:

According to the Journal of Patient Safety, medical errors contribute to more than 400,000 deaths in the U.S. every year, and that estimate only takes hospital patients into account.

According to research published in the British Medical Journal, medical errors in hospitals and other medical facilities could be the third leading cause of death in the U.S., claiming 250,000 lives every year.

And, according to a recent study by Johns Hopkins University, more than 250,000 people in the United States die every year because of medical mistakes, making them the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer.
We’d say that’s a few too many, and these are alarming statistics.

It has been shown that most common diseases we see in society today are preventable and are a direct result of poor lifestyle choices. The media and advertisers make junk food and alcohol look enticing and appealing, and food manufacturers add flavor enhancers such as MSG (monosodium glutamate) to many products, making them even more addictive and fueling those late-night cravings. It also doesn’t help that there is a fast-food restaurant and a liquor store on every street corner in America. Choices are very limited for fresh, organic juice bars and healthy family choices.

It may be difficult, but you can begin making healthier choices for yourself and your family, and it starts at home. Everyone should have the freedom to choose what’s best for their health and well-being. And if you want to help effect changes toward seeing more restaurants and supermarkets offer fresh, organic food, you can make a difference by voting with your dollars. [Dollar voting is an analogy that refers to the theoretical impact of consumer choice on producers’ actions by means of the flow of consumer payments to producers for their goods and services. – Source: Wikipedia

GOOD NEWS!

Coast-to-Coast Wins for Medical Freedom

From New York to California and beyond, the medical freedom movement is taking law-breaking tyrants to court and coming away with victories! Today, on “Good Morning CHD,” guests Bobbie Anne Cox, Arie Spangler, and Bernadette Pajer discuss these lawsuits, advocacy opportunities, and the importance of the rulings for the rest of the U.S. and the world.

People are fighting back against the system and standing up for freedom for themselves and their children. We need to remind the state that we are the parents, and it should be the right of all parents to make decisions for their families and not the right of the state. It is important to get involved—our children’s futures depend on it!
